The Swedish Society of Biomechanics was founded in 2018 with the core mission of advancing the study of biomechanics in Sweden and promoting collaboration among students, researchers and institutions. Embracing a broad perspective, the SSB recognizes the role of biomechanics in understanding biological systems in various disciplines. Since its founding, SSB has grown to consist of 229 members in 2023.

The SSB annual meeting 2024 will be held on May 27th-28th 2024 in Lund, Sweden.
Thanks to the kind support of Promobilia foundation, we will be able to offer you participation to the annual meeting at no fee. Keynote speakers will be Lisa Prahl Wittberg (KTH) and Mikael Skipper Andersen (Aalborg University). More information about the program will be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

The 30th Annual Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics will be held 27-31 July 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden.
